# Session Start Rule

Whenever you start a new session or task in this repository, you MUST follow these steps before performing any research, analysis, or code changes. This ensures "Infinite Memory" between AI agents.

## 1. READ THESE FILES FIRST (Documentation Hierarchy)
1.  `PROJECT_STATUS.md`: **CUMULATIVE LOG**. Do NOT overwrite. Newest session logs must be added to the TOP. This acts as the project "memory bank" for future upgrades.
2.  `SESSION_SUMMARY.md`: **LATEST HAND-OFF**. Overwrite each session. This provides a clean technical snapshot for the very next agent.
3.  `APP_CONTEXT.md`: **SOURCE OF TRUTH**. The architectural logic of the app.
4.  **[docs/walkthroughs/](file:///Users/keira/Documents/GitHub/Vedic-astro-mar/docs/walkthroughs/)**: Search for any "Alignment" files (e.g., `alignment_YYYY-MM-DD.md`) if there were major shifts in rules or architecture.

## 2. CHECK GLOBAL RULES
- Read **[.cursor/rules/vedic-astrology.mdc](file:///Users/keira/Documents/GitHub/Vedic-astro-mar/.cursor/rules/vedic-astrology.mdc)** to understand the mandatory 4-step Vedic workflow.

## 3. IDENTIFY AGENT SKILLS/WORKFLOWS
- Check **[.agents/skills/](file:///Users/keira/Documents/GitHub/Vedic-astro-mar/.agents/skills/)** and **[.agents/workflows/](file:///Users/keira/Documents/GitHub/Vedic-astro-mar/.agents/workflows/)** for specialized capabilities.

## 4. SESSION EXIT (Infinite Memory)
Before finishing, you MUST perform these "Hand-off" steps:
1.  **Update [PROJECT_STATUS.md](file:///Users/keira/Documents/GitHub/Vedic-astro-mar/PROJECT_STATUS.md)** with the new version and major updates.
2.  **Update/Create [SESSION_SUMMARY.md](file:///Users/keira/Documents/GitHub/Vedic-astro-mar/SESSION_SUMMARY.md)** with technical details for the next agent.
3.  **OPTIONAL: Alignment Walkthrough**: If you made a major architectural change or rule shift, create an `alignment_YYYY-MM-DD.md` in `docs/walkthroughs/` to justify how the new changes align with the core 4-step workflow.

## 5. PURPOSE
The goal is to provide "Infinite Memory" to the AI agent. By reading these files, you immediately understand the context of the last conversation and the reasons for the current architectural choices.
