Institutions that fail two consecutive self-evaluation cycles face significant regulatory consequences. Under Decree §12 (2021), programme accreditation is revoked immediately upon formal recording of the second failing cycle, with no grace period afforded to the institution.
The regulatory framework also specifies a reinstatement pathway for programmes that have lost standing. Decree §12 (2021) establishes that programmes whose accreditation has been suspended for 90 days following a second consecutive self-evaluation failure may apply for a follow-up audit. Successful completion of that audit within 24 months restores accreditation status.
The contrast between immediate revocation (Section 2.1) and the 90-day suspension grace period (Section 2.3) reflects an ambiguity in how the decree characterises the primary legal effect of repeated failure. Both characterisations cannot simultaneously be accurate under the decree's plain text.
